In OOo 1.9.79 and 1.9.94 I found the same problem:
A writer-document saved as .html can not be reconverted to .odt by using the
export feature. When you open the resulting document an error occurs. The error
message tells somethimg about a wrong format in styles.xml (german version:
"Leseproblem. Formatfehler in Teildokument styles.xml an Position 2,0(Zeile,
Spalte) in der Datei entdeckt")
To reproduce the problem just write a short text,
save it as html,
close writer and re-open the document from the open document window
(this opens it in "writer/web", opening from the list of recently used documents
opens it in "writer" with the option to save it directly as .odt)
export it to .odt and try to open the resulting file.

When you export the .html as .sxw it can be re-opened without problems

I attached my last version of the .html .sxw .odt -files and a screenshot of the
error message.
