Description:
Problem Reproduced in - Open Office 3.1.1 OOO310m19 (Build:9420)
Using 'bad animations.odp' attached by user 'scagni', I was able to
reproduce this issue shown in the attached video 'Disastrousanimation.avi'
in the following versions of Impress with
Tools->Options->view->'Use hardware acceleration' enabled.
NOTE: Disabling 'Hardware Acceleration' in 3.1.1 eliminated the problem.
Problem NOT Reproduced in - Open Office OOo-dev 3.3.0 DEV300m70 (Build:9478)
Using the same presentation 'bad animations.odp' and the following latest
development release, with 'Hardware Acceleration' enabled, the issue with
this slide animation is fixed.
Configuration:
Acer Aspire 4730Z Laptop
Operating System - Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 1
Processor - Intel® Pentium® dual-core mobile processor T3200
(1 MB L2 cache, 2.0 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 35 W)
Memory (RAM) - 2.00 GB
System type - 32-bit Operating System
VGA - 14.1" WXGA high-brightness (200-nit) Acer CrystalBrite
TFT LCD, 1280 x 800 pixel resolution
Graphics - Mobile Intel® GL40 Express Chipset with integrated 3D
graphics, featuring Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator
4500M (Intel® GMA 4500M)
Step to replicate animation error in 3.1.1:
(1) Downloaded attachment 'bad animations.odp'
(2) Launch Impress, and open file 'bad animations.odp'
(3) Check Tools->Options->view->'Use hardware acceleration' enabled.
(4) Start Slide Show, F5, and click slide for animation.
(5) Instead of four red bars shooting across slide to underline text,
you'll see an incorrect graphic anomaly in place of the animation.
