I don't have access right now to a test machine where I could install another (older - the version field above says this applies to OOO310.m8) OOo with system integration, and I do not know whether this system integration (e.g. the ability to open the doc via double-click from the Explorer) is mandatory. random_man, do you mind trying OOo 3.2 RC 4 (available at http://download.openoffice.org) or RC 5 (expected this week), and see if this problem persists?
