------- Additional comments from stelukunti2...@openoffice.org Sun Feb 7 04:21:34 +0000 2010 ------- Hello, Just tested with OOo 3.3.0(build 9478) on windows vista machine and the issue seems to be alive. Here's how to reproduce: 1. Open Impress with a new or existing presentation. 2. From the Insert menu, select Comment. 3. We Can See the Comment box open, Now We Can See Small Button in lower right. 4. Left click on the Small Button. Effect observed: The menu strip of the comment disappears when I Left click on the small button on the comment feature but would appear and stay only when we hold on the button (Left Click and Hold). However I tried to see this issue in different systems and in other program (writer). In Writer for example (Following the Steps mentioned above), the comment pull- down menu still remains set to the last (stay for a While) used, which is much more user friendly. But in Other Program (Like Drawing) I could replicate the issue as in Impress. But in Spreadsheet there is no button in right corner of the comment feature. We would have select the cell and right click on the cell to get the features of the comment. Follow Up Tests Use case 1: I Tried the Sequence of Steps as mentioned above on a Windows 7 Machine with Open Office 3.3.0 (build9478).I could replicate the issue in Impress, Drawing but it Seems to work fine in Writer. Spreadsheet: I don’t have any button for comment feature in the spreadsheet . Use Case 2: I tried to replicate the issue using different Open Office 3.2 .0 (Build 9483) on windows vista machine but in this case instead of clicking left click in comment feature button I hit right click and now the pull down menu appeared and did not disappear and remained for longer time. This menu strip is different from the first one but had all the options as the first one. Look for the attachments for reference. Same case observed in Drawing program. Spread sheet: There was no button on the right hand corner .we would have to select the format cell and then right click it to view the options for a comment. Writer: When I Right Click on the comment button I don’t get see the menu strip that I have seen for presentation or Drawing. As mentioned above the comment menu strip seems to have strange Behavior, It Seems to have different behavior in all the Programs Writer, Impress ,Drawing & Spreadsheet. Although this seems to be minor issue but can give customers some bad feel about the product as it seems to be lacking some consistency of the feature within the programs. System Configuration Windows Vista, 4GB Ram , Intel Processor 2.40Ghz Windows 7, 4GB Ram, Intel processor 2.20GHz. Open Office 3.3.0(DEV300_m70,build 9478) & Open Office 3.2 .0 (Build 9483) Cheers, Srikanth --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
