Open a new document.

Type "1st" without the quotes.

Press enter.

Type a word.

Delete the word and hit delete once more so you go back up to the previous line.

Now press enter to start a new line.

The text will have inherited the small font of "st", also happens with "nd",
"rd" and "th".
