Several related problems have been found:
1) OO does not recognize any extensions anymore among these:
writers tools, cadoo, sun-pdfimport, calc2latex, dmathsaddon etc.
2) It also does not find any spellcheckers, thesauri and hyphenation libs.
(multilingual environment, english, french, german, italian wordbooks
are installed)
3) All extensions are shown in the extension manager, but are missing under
Options | Language
4) An attempt to upgrade with the extension manager failed:
After an estim. 10 min of HD-activity during the extension manager upgrade
attempt the following error message appeared (in German, translated):
OpenOffice.org 3.2, Extension Manager:
c:\Dokumente und
Einstellungen\(...)\Anwendungsdaten\OpenOffice.org\3\user\uno_packages\cache\uno_packages\7.tmp_\cadooo2-1.0.3.xcu
does not exist.
after ok the second error message appeared:
OpenOffice.org 3.2:
an error occured during file opening
Thereafter the first Errormessage appeared again, after ok the program
shut down without further message (crash).
5) First attempt to spellcheck a German document failed:
Spell check icon is always greyed out.
Extras | Language offered only tschech Language, which was never installed,
after a second try the program shut down without error message
After a third attempt German was offered and worked through the menue,
the icon is still greyed out.
6) Paths:
The installed extensions are in the following different locations:
12x C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\xx\Anwendungsdaten\
OpenOffice.org\3\user\uno_packages\cache\uno_packages\xx.tmp_\xxx.oxt
- these are shown in the extension manager
1x C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\xx\Lokale Einstellungen\Temp\xxx.oxt
- some duplicates of the above
2x C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\xx\Lokale
Einstellungen\Temp\F3.tmp_\F4.tmp_\xxx.oxt
- triple tmp
10x C:\Programme\OpenOffice.org 3\share\extension\install\dict_xxx.oxt
8x C:\Programme\OpenOffice.org
3\share\uno_packages\cache\uno_packages\xx.tmp\dict_xxx.oxt
Apparently there is a conflict between the above paths. I did not file another
bug report, because the problems seem to be intimately related.
I also read somewhere about suspected cadoo conflicts with writers tools
extension, which may just be caused by similar conflicting paths settings. All
installed extensions are dead over here.
