------- Additional comments from mac...@openoffice.org Sun Feb 14 07:35:07 +0000 2010 ------- I don't call it autocorrection, because it does not corrects anything, and it is not autoformatting, because it not only about formatting. Enhancement: one switch to disable all autoreplacement features. [ ] autoreplacements -> no changes in text user typed [x] autoreplacements -> changes according to specific rules, like cell type, "autocorrections", etc. The reasons: a) there are many places to control auto-changes, so to turn it off, it takes a while b) user is never sure if there is one auto-change feature left turned on c) OOO quality of autocorrection is pretty bad, and it makes more harm than good to have it on I would stress one thing -- this settings (to make sense) has to be global. Once turned off, no "correction" in text is made by computer. None. If user types 32nd January, keep it. If user types "cmoputer", keep it. And so on. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
