We loose formatting (bold, italic) & not every time values in cells are one-char-width. I think, now on exporting to pdf OOo do not use tables as tables. In any pdf with tables produced by OOo you can not control selection in table by mouse well. And can not copy-paste. First attached file produced NOT in OOo.
