I have tried with OOO310_m19_native_packed-1_en-US.9420 and the executable
starts. However, that was m19 and the other was m21. Possibly the problem was
introduced later? Or, there is a complex dependance of m21 and later on
system-wide changes introduced when upgrading to 3.2.0.5-1.1 and downgrading
again?

Well, it looks like this problem is difficult to track. I did hope the core
file would say something. It does tell me in which source code line the problem
occured. I installed the matching -debuginfo and -debugsource packages from
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/OpenOffice.org:/STABLE/openSUSE_11.2/i586/
and used ddd. I am attaching a file of the screenshot in ddd and a backtrace
output by gdb as text. It all points to a UNO problem.

My current problem is that OOO310_m19 cannot copy&paste the text which created a
problem before (ISSUE# 109284), at all. Apparently all font information is lost
during the copy&paste, which means I cannot use it (as you may remember, almost
each character uses a different font). Since it is a production system this is
really a problem. The fix for ISSUE# 109284 has not found its way even into the
unstable version (I tried 3.2.0.6-1.1 from openSUSE), and I have not had a
feedback on a workaround for that issue. I have now resolved to using Windows
again because there does not seem to be a stable and functional Linux version
for working with the font attributes I need. Maybe the Windows version depends
less on complex interdependencies and workarounds like the RTF bookmark
(whatever that is) and Java?
