This must have happened sometime between Jan 31 (my last normal message to the list) and Feb 18 (when a post from me was sent for moderation). It was probably early in that period, I'm quite active on the list and wouldn't go many days without responding to something. Paul (the list's owner and moderator) couldn't find any kind of log to help, but I hope there is one. I've since resubscribed, but this situation may help to identify a hole in the process. It may also be relevant to subscribing; there is evidence indicating that people are sometimes subscribed without going through the usual confirmation/Welcome process.
