------- Additional comments from dka...@openoffice.org Fri Mar 19 05:14:23 +0000 2010 ------- All the window managers I've used under Linux use the ALT & drag combination key to move windows. Further, ALT & click will raise a window. OpenOffice presently activates a menu if the ALT key is clicked. This means if I'm switching between windows by ALT-clicking, or ALT-click-dragging, OpenOffice will always activate a menu, which I don't want, and I have to hit ALT or ESCAPE to make it go away. This is absolutely infuriating. I am not the only one to believe so: http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-openoff...@lists.debian.org/msg00934.html http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=730885 This behaviour is completely incompatible with modern desktop usage. At the very least, there should be an option to disable this ALT key behaviour. Or better still, just remove it. The accepted way of activating menus is to use a COMBINATION of ALT and another key to activate a window, for example ALT & F for the 'File' menu. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
