I can not reproduce this in OOo 3.2 using Mac OS 10.6.2.
A document with some correct and some wrong Spanish words behaves normally
concerning spell check, be it automatic or manually via <F7>.
I used "Spanish(Spain)" as document language.
Can you attach a document where this occurs?
Or does it occur as soon as you type in a newly created Writer document?
Are all Spanish variants affected?
