In any of the OpenOffice applications, opening or saving a file, if I select 
the mount point for the root of 
an SMB mounted share, finder hangs. I can select shortcuts to folders within 
the share, but not to the root 
itself, either through an already created shortcut or the network shortcut.

No problems using Finder or other applcations Open/Save dialogs selecting the 
same shares.

My desktop is Mac Mini Intel 2Ghz, 2GB RAM, OS X 10.6.2
Server with the SMB share is OpenSuse Linux 11.0. User account has full 
read/write permisisons on the 
share and files it contains.
