------- Additional comments from dwha...@openoffice.org Fri Apr 2 17:48:20 +0000 2010 ------- There is a bug where two numbers eg 213.55 and -208, don't add up correctly. Instead of 5.55, the result has an extra value somewhere in the decimal. In one case, the result is shown as 5.54999999 repeating. In another sample, the result it 5.5500000000000100. I noticed the repeating value in a spreadsheet with numerous summations. I then took the two values and created them in a new spreadsheet to see if I could duplicate the error, which is where I got the 5.5500000000000100 value. Heres what I did to duplicate the issue. 1: create a new spreadsheet in oocalc. 2: enter 213.55 in J13 3: enter -208 in J22 4: enter =J13+J22 in J25 5: see result is listed as 5.55 in box, but in status bar Sum is given as 5.55000000000001 6: increase the number of displayed decimal places to see 5.55000000000001 shown in j25. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
