I have been unable to duplicate the keystrokes required to cause this, but it has to do with pressing the backspace key while in the middle of typing a text entry into a cell. Sometimes, it seems as though the Calc is sequencing through several potential strings for autocomplete (from other cells in the column). I can sometimes duplicate the problem by backspacing over a typing error of a text string in a cell.
