------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Apr 22 08:56:34 -0700 2005 ------- Importing a XLS file into OOo Calc it fails to correctly import some things. It shows Err:508 (Error: in bracketing) instead. It seems to happen when a range is used that contains a formula rather than a fixed cell address. This real-life example works in Excel but becomes Err:508 when imported into Calc: =SUM($'Dept Sales'.$B119:OFFSET($'Dept Sales'.$B119;0;+($B$3-1);1;1)) I cannot post the entire spreadsheet for confidentiality reasons. Basically it has a cell where you tell it a month and it alters the cells using the above OFFSET formula to show data from that month. If I change the colon to a semicolon it gets rid of the error, but the results are obviously not correct. I don't want just those 2 cells added together, I want those 2 cells and everything in between. If I then change the semicolon back to a colon, the error becomes #NAME? (Error: Invalid name). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
