I am not familiar with attaching files here, I put an ZIP file on my web server:

http://www.hantsch.co.at/_temp/OOo-sample.zip

Attention: This file will automatically be deleted in 2 days! Please download it
asap.

Inside this folder you find on page 2 a series of smileys, this are normal font
characters. But the same also happens with normal latin letters, so this is not
the reason.
See their colors, and then print it. You'll see that the printout shows only
black ones.

My System is: LINUX (openSUSE 11.1, 64 bit)

I downloaded OpenOffice 3.2 directly from "openoffice.org", German version.

I use acroread 9.3.1 (Linux)

I use the CUPS printing system. This totally hides printer related issues. As I
am able to print in color, the printer driver should not be the reason. My
printer is a Konica-Minolta MC-2550 with duplex unit. It runs PostScript.
