Create (all defaults, white background) 2) Format > Page > Background > Fill: Color, Color: black (dialog: "Background settings for all pages?" _Yes_) Slide background in editing view and master view changes to black, as expected. 3) Slide Show > Slide Show Slide is rendered on screen with a white background. Same happens with all background types: color, gradient, etc. Same problem with existing presentations, not only with new slides. *** If in step 2 I answer "No" and set the background only for the current slide, then the background renders in the show as expected.
