When saving a file as a doc format 97/2000/XP, custom table formatting will not
be saved properly.

1. Opening a file, new or existing.
2. If you are using a new file, create a table with 3 or more columns and 2 or
more rows

If table alignment is set as “automatic”
3a. no observable problems occur

If table alignment is not set as “from left” or “automatic”
3b. change table alignment to something other then “from left” or “automatic”
4b. change width to less then page width
5b. fill cells with data, not all cells need to be filled.
6b. save file in doc format 97/2000/XP
7b. close file and reopen it
8b. observed effects: table width changes to 13.85" alignment “from left”, all
middle columns are merged into the first, the last column is extended to take up
over 95% of table width.

If table alignment is set as “from left”
3c. change table alignment to “from left”
4c. open file
5c. make a change to file and remove it, this allows the file to be updated
6c. save file
7c. close file and reopen
8c. Observed effects: first column is .42 inches shorter then it was before the
save.
