I have reproduced the bug on OpenOffice 3.2.0, OOO320m12 (Build:9483) produced
by DA.OpenOffice.org.
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium, Service pack 2
PC: Dell, Dimension DM061, Intel Core 2 CPI, 4300 @ 1,80 Ghz, RAm 2,00 GB,
Systemtype 32 bit os.
Internet connection: ADSL Zyxel 600 prestige, NAT activated 
LAN: Linksys Wireless swicth with ip-phone, NAT activated
ISP: Telenor, Denmark
E-mail setup: 
Name: <Name>
E-mail address: <name>@gmail.com
Unset answer to other address.

Set up for outgoing serever (SMTP)
Server name: smtp.googlemail.com 
Port 465
Use secure connection (SSL)

Server validation set up:
Set: The outgoing mailserver (SMTP) requires validation
Outgoing mailserver:
   Username: <name>@gmail.com
   Password: *********

Unset: The outgoing mailserver uses same validation as the ingoing mailserver
.... The fields are filled out as for thunderbird.

Actual fields for my real name and account name are omitted. Please create your
own account in Denmark for google.
