Problem description:

Document has user-defined layer "userlayer". Properties of layer are set by
"Format - Layer..." or by right-click on label of layer and saying "Modify
Layer...". In layer properties, check mark is removed from "Visible". Doing this
for the first time changes color of layer label from black to blue. Save
document and close it.

Open document again. --> Layer is invisible according to layer properties, yet
layer label of "userlayer" is black. One has to open layer properties and close
again by "OK" in order to have label label marked blue.
