I want to add some cross references so I click Insert -> CrossReference -> Numbered Paragraphs -> Choose paragraph -> Number (full context) -> Insert. It inserts correctly. When I close and re-open the document as Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc), the cross references are still there, but they show up as 1 grey character.
