------- Additional comments from monochro...@openoffice.org Wed May 19 10:26:04 +0000 2010 ------- When trying to add an installed JRE via ools->Options->Openoffice.org->Java->Add recent JREs are not detected properly. This bug might boil down to the way an installed JRE is detected. The problem was discovered when trying to add a 64 bit Sun JRE on a Windows 7 platform. After a cursory analysis of the 3.2 release source, I suspect the problem lies in the way the plugin for the Sun JREs analyses the installed Java components (file sunjre.cxx in jvmfwk/plugins/sunmajor/pluginlib). There, the plugin only checks if the DLL jvm.dll resides in the "client" subdirectory whereas come JRE 1.6 installation on Windows (at least the 64 bit version) puts this DLL into a subdirectory named "server". This anomaly does - according the conditional compilation for ?unix platforms - only occur when compiled for Windows. Other JREs might be affected as well - don't have the bandwidth at the moment to analyse this further. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
