------- Additional comments from cche...@openoffice.org Wed May 19 16:00:52 +0000 2010 ------- I have heard some preliminary results on Ubuntu that adding the 'nobrl' option to cifs mount allows it to work. Is there some way to fix this issue on the OOo side by supporting mandatory byte range locks if available? Trying to inform all users to use 'nobrl' when mounting a cifs share on Linux and potentially MacOS X is probably not easily feasible. mount.cifs manpage says this about nobrl nobrl Do not send byte range lock requests to the server. This is necessary for certain applications that break with cifs style mandatory byte range locks (and most cifs servers do not yet support requesting advisory byte range locks). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
