I followed the description of your original report and was NOT able to
reproduce
the bug.
Below is my testing environment (as far as I can tell) -
* Windows XP, service pack 3
*  IBM Thinkpad R50 laptop
*  oOO dev 3.3 m77

Rob, do you have a copy of the slideshow file referenced in your original
report? I went to the url you included, but it no longer seems to exist. You
mentioned in later comments that you thought presence of a program named "Sun
Presentation Manager" was related to the bug.
How can I determine if I have this installed on my machine?

I created and saved 2 slideshow files in .opd and .sxi format respectively
without errors. Both contain images dragged from Windows Explorer into the
slides.
 I'm going to upload them as attachments in case they may be of use to someone.

If you could please give more information about this "Presentation Manager" -
namely the version #, source and how to detect if it is installed, I would be
happy to retry my tests.
