Right click on quickstart systray icon and select "Database" 2. Select "Create New Database" and click "next" 3. Select "No, do not register database" 6. Select "Create tables using the table wizard" and click "finish". 7. Click "save". Error: OpenOffice.org requires a Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task. Please install a JRE and restart OpenOffice.org. 8. Clicking "OK" you are left with the "Base" application window still open in the background, but all functions appear to cause the same error. Thus the only sensible option is to just close the application.
