Many thanks for your fast response and explanation. I now see that I can change
the indentation in of the bullets in the third table through the menu
Format-Bullets and Numbering-Position-Numbering followed by tab-stop at. This
helps me to achieve the intended formatting. 

However, I do not think you understood my issue. The issue is that I can
define/modify these tabs in the second table by clicking into the horizontal
ruler. However, this is not working in the third table, and it is completely
ill-behaving in the second document attached. See the new attached images, the
mouse cursor showing what I mean. Have a nice day.
