------- Additional comments from gbpach...@openoffice.org Sat Jun 26 02:11:34 +0000 2010 ------- Hi! 1. Open the file Subtotals_test_2.ods in attachment 2. select B4:D13 3. apply the subtotals (Data menu > Subtotals), choosing: Group by: Code Calculate subtotals for: Price Use function: Sum 4. click OK. The subtotals will be apply to the cells. Then, after this, return to Data > Subtotals to change the function to Average. When you click in Average (in 'Use function' list), the first option in the 'Calculate subtotals for' (in this case, 'Code') will be selected too. If an user with basic knowledge clicks OK without correct the option, #DIV/0! appears if the column contains text, like the column Code. I think it´s happening because the first option in the 'Calculate subtotals for' is always highlighted after a first application of Subtotals. My suggest is select the option used in the last configuration of Subtotals. In this case, Price should be selected after the first use.
