I went to submit a feature request, using the “Report Bugs” link (in a new tab).

Being new to the project, I opened (a new page view of) the “join us” link.

I did that process.

The issue concerns a page, as follows.

When I came back to a page I already had open — the URL was
http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/pre_submission.html
, but, beyond that, I can not say which it was, of the windows/tabs I had used… 

near the top of the page, there is a message with an “information” icon (an “i” 
in a box).  It has a 
“Message”, as follows.

An email has been sent to <email_address> to allow you to set up your password.

<email_address> is “jonosh...@netzero”.  That is not my email address.  (I did 
receive the requisite 
emails.)  [If the foregoing is someone else’s email address (i.e., not staff), 
you might like to delete it from 
this account.]  It does not seem that it would be a staff-member’s address, 
since the process is automatic.
