To reproduce, use OpenOffice 3.2.1 and: 1. Open OOo 3.2.1 from scratch 2. Choose File -> Recent Docuemnts and select a Microsoft Excel .xls file 3. Make a change 4. Save with File -> Save. Notice that a dialog appears: -------------------------- This document may contain formatting or content that cannot be saved in the Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP file format. Do you want to save the document in this format anyway? Use the latest ODF file format and be sure all formatting and content is saved correctly. [ Keep Current Format ] [ Save in ODF Format ] [x] Ask when not saving in ODF format -------------------------- Then problem is that final checkbox: "Ask when not saving in ODF format." 6. UNCHECK the "Ask when not saving in ODF format", then click "Keep Current Format." 7. Close OOo 3.2.1 8. Repeat from step 1. Notice that you are AGAIN prompted about the ODF format issue, even though previously you had indicated that you did NOT want to be asked again. If you MANUALLY uncheck "Warn when not saving in ODF" from Load/Save -> General, then this does not occur; however, the bug is that "Ask when not saving in ODF format" in the dialog box that appears on save does not affect the product-wide general preference. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
