------- Additional comments from allis...@openoffice.org Mon Jul 19 21:08:20 +0000 2010 ------- I also have this issue (OpenOffice.org 3.2.0 on Gentoo Linux, amd64). It seems that when OO.org decides to use an existing session, it should be taking into account not only the hostname and the current user, but also the DISPLAY environment variable. It should only share the existing OO.org application if all three of those variables are the same. I understand the issue with two separate OO.org instances sharing the same profile information (because the user is the same). A possible solution is to detect when we are starting up a second session for the same user and warn them that the user specific configuration (preferences/options) will not be editable for this session. I would imagine that most users would be happy with this restriction, if only they can run OO.org on the other display. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
