How about Mac and Windows? And which dependency do we want to use for which Unix platform? The opensymbol font is in one package with all other fonts. A missed dependency leads to the situation that no font will be installed with OOo. And as we discussed this morning, there is no necessity for such an inconvenient and insufficient dependency. My favorite solution is, that the font gets a new name. If the different versions of this font are not compatible because of big changes in this font, it should get a new name. So we avoid any version conflict. Your suggestion was, that you evaluate not only font name but also font version. If you prefer this, then this seems also to be valid. Finally we could also hard code, that this one font is always used from share/fonts/truetype. This seems to be a very stable and simple solution. So there are much better ways, then using dependencies between packages. This is also not a valid solution for all our OS. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
