First, A word processor is not a vector graphic drawing application so that the comparison with Inkscape doesn't hold. Do you try to make the text inside of the frame being exactly aligned with the left border? What should it be good for? What if you decide to use a bigger/other font? Why not using a real footer? It seems you try to "build" a document with elements which are not suiting for the task... You can already get this alignment working on the frame position to margin and subtracting the distance text to border to it.
