I have found that in 2.4 if i create an ods and then save as excel (97,2003) when I view the file in excel the column widths are the same. However if i do exactly the same process in open office 3 when I save the ods file as xls (97,2003) and then view in excel the column widths appear to be getting doubled up..even though excel is reporting the column widths as being the same.
