I doubt that that with only developer snapshot with "reduced OS integration"
that preview should be shown.
No idea what kind of breview we are talking about. Wit WIN XP I see a preview of
the first document page in Explorer "Miniature View".

I do not have experience with WIN 7, so some more explication concerning your
problem would be useful. Alsso a complete description of your uninstall /
install process will be required.
May I ask you to read our guidelines on

<http://www.openoffice.org/bugs/bug_writing_guidelines.html> before you file
further issues or post again here? Then please contribute a clear step by step
instruction containing all observations (error messages ...), EVERY key press
and EVERY mouse click how to reproduce the problem, and explain why you believe
that your results are unexpected.
That means (for example):
do not write something like "I am not able to ...", but
6. left mouse click on …
expected: …, color of … changes, …
actual: no …., color remains white, no …
Screenshots might help to explain the problem.

OS and Platform you used for your tests!
- attach a sample document (always with ODF source document)!
