Open OpenOffice Impress and click on Insert Menu 2. Select Movie and Sound option 3. Browse and select a file with filename % (Use the file attached for the purpose, you can also use any file named as %) - You will see an error message saying file format not supported Testing with Microsoft Powerpoint: It was possible to insert the same file in a powerpoint slide Important Note: Issues observed in both Windows XP and Windows 7 for the sound file with special character % is reproducible with the official build of OpenOffice downloaded from the website (3.2.1 stable build and 3.3.0 Beta build) Also, it is reproducible for any sound filename containing % in it i.e: soundissue%.wav - A sound file of this name is also not considered as supported format by OpenOffice --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
