As the mouse passes over each, the buttons get a dark grey background color, that remains, once the mouse is at another location. If I switch to a different desktop and then go back to the desktop where the openoffice start center is displayed, the choice buttons have gone back to the clear background. The mouse again turns the backgrouds to a dark grey as it passes over them.
