By editing Top or Bottom spacing in a table (or both), you can stretch a table
beyond the viewable area for a slide

Hardware used:

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
(7600.win7_gdr.100618-1621)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: HP-Pavilion
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 945 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM

Operating System: Windows Vistaâ„¢ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1
(6001.vistasp1_gdr.100608-0458)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Processor: AMD Turion Dual-Core RM-70 (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
Memory: 2814MB RAM

Replication Steps:

1. Start a new presentation in OpenOffice
2. Create a table with more than one row (Selecting Insert -> Table)
3. Move Table to lower right corner of the slide
4. Select Table Properties under the Table Toolbar
5. Edit either the Top Spacing and Bottom Spacing to be 1.97" (the max size)

Observe that the table grows downward, unto the gray part of the slide and
notice that the second row of the table can only be partially seen by the
editor.
