When you are going to duplicate an object, the Duplicate dialogue box asks you
to provide offset for X and Y axis. The explanation that X stands for
horizontal and Y stands for vertical is available in the help document.
However, if possible, please rename these terms to "horizontal" and "vertical"
for clarity.
