First off, I am using an english version. I'm not sure how to send such a
document because it crashes when I try to make one. Here are the steps I do when
making a new document;

Open OpenOffice using the command openoffice-1.9.
In the File Menu, New subcategory, click on text document.
In the Format Menu, click Page
Click to the Page tab.
Change all four Margins to 1.00" (I use Letter paper format which
                                  is default on my machine)
Click on Header tab.
Click header on.
Change Spacing field to 0.10"
Click on More button, this brings up the borders/background
Add a bottom border, I usually make it 0.50 pt but sometimes I use 0.05 pt
(I change nothing else so it is a black color)
Click OK to close Border/Background
Click OK to close Page Style: Default
Click into the heading part of the document
Type the tab keyboard key twice
Type "Page:" then the spacebar
In the Insert Menu, Fields submenu, click Page Number
Type ':'
In the Insert Menu, Fields submenu, click Page Count
(I sometimes add a space afterwards just to move it away from the edge)
Click down to the main body of the document
In the Format Menu, click Paragraph (Indents & Spacing comes up by default)
Change First Line field to 0.30". (This probably can be any value because
I have had the crash happen with a 0.50" and a 0.23" value)
Click the choice box under Line spacing and select Double.
Click OK button to close the Paragraph
Type one page of text with a few paragraphs. (The first few crashes I used
actual writing but since then I make a few lines of words then
copy and paste it down to a little past the one page mark.)
(I have noticed that sometimes the information in the header disappears)
In the File menu, click save OR click the disk icon on the toolbar.
Give the file a name then click the save button.
(I usually save to /home/Docs/<project name> but it also crashes when
           trying to save to /home/<user name> )

I am not on my computer right now. I will test to see if it crashes when I do a
[save as] with an existing document taken through the above steps. If that is
the case then I will attach such a file.

I hope I have clarified the steps I take that lead to this crash.
