A button is associated with a macro, i.e. clicking on the button runs the macro.
The user enters data into an input cell and clicks on the button to run the
macro. After the macro does its job the input cell is still activated, as
expected. However, when the user tries to enter a new value into the input cell,
on pressing the "Enter" key, the new value is not registered and the macro runs
a second time instead. Somehow the macro button is still selected and takes
precedence over the attempted cell input.

Expected outcome: The new data should have been entered into the input cell
without running the macro.

What happens: The macro is run a second time. The new value is displayed in the
input cell but the old value is still being used. The input cell is stuck in a
live edit state, i.e. subsequent input is appended to the previous input and
cannot be entered.

OpenOffice.org 3.2.1
OOO320m19 (Build:9505)
ooo-build 3.2.1.4, Ubuntu package 1:3.2.1-6ubuntu2~10.04.1

This issue arises in a spreadsheet which was created in Excel2000 and stored in
.xls format with a tiny VBA macro included. Have not yet checked whether the
issue extends to buttons and macros created in OOo.

Regards.
