There appear to be several previous Issues analogous to this one, but none
exactly replicates it.

Attempts to load OO produce the following message: Error loading BASIC of
document file///C:/Program%20Files/OpenOffice.org
%203/Basis/share/basic/Launcher/dialog./xlb/:
General Error
General Input/output error

Press OK and the message disappears and the application is useable. So only an
irritation when I am opening OO to work on an existing file, but of much greater
concern when seeking to open an attachment to an email when OO is not already in
use. (Here I should say that at the moment I am still using Word as my default
text program, but had been intending to move to Writer shortly. My Computer is
used by other members of my family for whom this will cause concern if the bug
cannot be removed!)

I am currently running version 3.2. I note that the upgrading progress has left
previous versions (from 1.1) on the computer - can - indeed ought - these be
removed?

I have not activated the Quick Launcher.

>From working through previous Issues it appears that the upgrading process has
removed or emptied files which are now redundant but has not stripped out
references to them. Could you please tell me how to isolate and remove them - I
am reasonably computer literate, but have limited experience in editing these
sort of files. So I really need quite precise instructions as to paths etc!
