When creating or editing a graphic -- for example, a rectangle or ellipse -- I
am not able to resize along one dimension (horizontal or vertical) via mouse. I
can only create square rectangles and circular ellipses interactively.

I *am* able to specify explicit numeric changes to the horizontal or vertical
dimensions of objects. They take effect. But that seems to be the only way to
do so.

It's as if the "keep ratio" option were checked in the Position and Size
options.

Thanks. Hope I'm not just missing something.
