------- Additional comments from wi...@openoffice.org Fri Nov 12 07:56:53 +0000 2010 ------- In the second sample I was actually using fixed (single-line) line spacing. When switching to fixed (German : Fest) spacing, the extra empty lines vanished. Then, however, everything (e.g. formulas) that exceeds the line height will be silently "cut off". That still cannot be the solution. I checked my "bible" ("Mut zur Typographie" (ISBN 3-540-67541-8 / ISBN 978-3-540-67541-9)), and it said that "Registerhaltigkeit" (register true) is done by adjusting the spacing at the END of elements (frames, paragraphs, tables, images, etc.), not in the middle of elements (as done by OOo inside one paragraph). (The cited book also states that not only the opposite page is considered for vertical alignment, but also the back of the page. If adjustments only "flow forward" that's OK, but if you are trying to make symmetrical adjustments (i.e. maybe adjust the spacing of the preceding pages as well as that of the next page), you are running into interesting problems.) Summary: A real solution is highly appreciated. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
