------- Additional comments from mey...@openoffice.org Wed Nov 24 16:09:21 +0000 2010 ------- in linux: OO was frozen and killed Then I opened the formerly opened file again. OO asked, if I would like to restore the file. Yes. [b.t.w. restored was nothing of the formerly done changes, but that is not the point] I worked on the file. I saved the file. I exported it to pdf. I closed it - I was asked if I would like to save the changes. I wondered, because there were no changes, but clicked yes. I wondered again, because the document did'nt disappear. I closed again. It closed. When I reopened the file (saving tim OK) all changes were lost. *I think*, OO opened the file AND restored the file - so two windows with the same document and same file were opened. (But only one was focused, the other I didn't see.) When I was asked if i wanted to save the changes before closing it maybe was for the document, which was not focused before. (Though I don't know why it was focused now.) Clicking yes it overwrote the other file (I had been working on and I had saved before) and closed. Now again the other window became focused. I closed it and it didn't ask, if I want to save before, because I just saved it (before exporting to pdf). It closed, but because the file was overwritten with the older version, all changes were lost. (Fortunately the pdf was OK.) Should not be possible, that two windows of OO show the same document and save it to the same file!!! *Seems* to do so, opening a file after a crash, when OO „restores“ the file. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
