------- Additional comments from eddie_ey...@openoffice.org Fri Nov 26 15:45:39 +0000 2010 ------- OK, I apologise if I interpreted your comments wrongly. If they had been less terse that may not have happened. I have bitten the bullet and installed version 3.3.0 RC6. In my tests so far, the problem does seem to have gone away in that version. Therefore I'm happy for this issue to remain closed. For the future, I'm still unconvinced that your being unable to reproduce a problem in your environment must prevent all further investigation. Short of shipping my machine to you, you have very little chance of replicating my environment. There are still, however, sensible ways of investigating problems in the customer's environment, through the use of debugging binaries, memory dumps, etc. Even a few more specific pointers to what could have been wrong in my environment (e.g. "Try turning off hardware acceleration in your graphics card") would have been helpful. I'm putting forward these comments in a constructive spirit, and I'm not trying to get at you. I do appreciate the time you have spent on this - thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
