------- Additional comments from dou...@openoffice.org Sun Dec 5 02:37:48 +0000 2010 ------- In OpenOffice 3.1.1 Calc for Linux, I hit Format/Cell, change the type to Text, click OK, go back and enter numbers I want treated as text, not quantities, like "8/10". The program instantly converts these entries to dates, e.g. "8/10/10". I go back and check the Format/Cell dialog box, and it has reverted to the default "Number." So apparently the program is doing 2 things wrong: not saving the changed formatting, and automatically converting numbers in that format to dates with noplace to turn off that conversion. This is intensely annoying, and preventing me from entering what I need to for work. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
