I want to use OpenOffice Impress in the classroom, and therefore I have
different needs than for example a salesperson.

Maybe an example is the best way of understanding my problem: I have a gapped
text in the students' textbook, the gaps are numbered from let's say 1-15. There
is one word per gap. When doing this in class, I need a slide which shows the
correct solutions one after another.
With a table, such a transparency is easily and quickly made. I just insert a
table with 2 colums and 15 rows, type the numbers in one colum and the words in
the other column. Doing a fake table for this type of task (with simple
textboxes that simply look like a table when put together) is much more
time-consuming, and for one lesson I usually need 3-5 of those transparencies,
and given that I have 6 lessons a day, of course it makes a difference if making
such a slide takes me 5 minutes or just half a minute...
It is vital in classroom usage that the solutions are displayed one after
another, and it is vital for the clearness of the slide that there is not just
the text but that it's there in a table.

I tried it with normal textboxes. There, you can even select one word after
another and add an effect for each single word.

Would it be possible to implement this feature for tables as well? so I could
for example select one row of the table and add an effect for this row?
