If you set a password in "Tools -> Options... -> OOo-Writer -> Mail Merge E-Mail
-> Server Authentication" for E-Mail Authentication, the password is written in
clear text.

Writer.xcu:

<prop oor:name="InServerPassword" oor:type="xs:string">
<value>your_password</value>
</prop>
...
<prop oor:name="MailPassword" oor:type="xs:string">
<value>your_password</value>
</prop>

It would be nice, if these passwords were encrypted.
