The problem can be reproduced by just typing "elfi efli" in a new empty text document and exporting it as PDF. Other fonts don't have this problem, also in a spreadsheet document I couldn't reproduce the problem. The (MacOS) pdf export function from the print dialog also works fine, only the OOO pdf export produces the problem, so I suppose the problem must be there.
